Making Western Australia’s most Instagramable spots more accessible

Client: Tourism Western Australia

Situation: Some of the biggest and most Instagramable adventures on the planet are found in all corners of Australia’s largest and most diverse state. The challenge for the digital marketing team at Tourism Western Australia is making them more accessible, especially to prospective interstate and international visitors.

Deliverables: Our copywriters were tasked with creating online descriptions for 30 transport hubs (cruise terminals, airports and airstrips) across Western Australia that make its hidden treasures easier to reach. A few of the newest additions to Perth’s ‘hipster haven’ (as described by the New York Times) urgently needed some online presence too.

The project took us on a virtual journey from Freo’s passenger terminal and its famous Bather’s Beach, to wilderness hopping on the Kimberley Aerial Highway, to a 4WD adventure across the desert on Tanami Road - the shortest and most memorable route from the Kimberley to the Red Centre.

Result: The new transport content we’ve created helps Tourism Western Australia connect the dots from A to Beautiful in its storytelling. It also adds to our portfolio of digital and website copywriting projects for tourism, which includes ‘Places to see’ and ‘Things to do’ on westernaustralia.com, as well at the mobile app.
