Our copywriters love their food. We also love working with clients who do good. So, when we were approached by the lovely people at Gather Foods – Perth’s leading Aboriginal-owned food company – we couldn’t wait to get our teeth into the job.

Over the past year, we’ve helped the Gather Foods team with everything from a new tagline (‘A taste of what’s possible’) to email campaigns to capability statements.

The tagline our copywriters crafted for Gather Foods alludes to the adventurous native-food-inspired culinary creations the team develops, along with the brand’s broader social mission and impact, empowering Aboriginal people to thrive in the food industry.

But the icing on the cake? Writing the content for the new Gather Foods website.

The challenge, as always, was keeping it clean and simple while bringing a sense of individuality to the website. And make no mistake, Gather Foods is one of a kind.

For a start, it’s more than one food business. It’s a growing group encompassing everything from catering and event management to a retail store and food manufacturing, from ice cream and condiments to luxury hampers, all inspired and infused with native Australian flavours.

But just as importantly, everything Gather Foods does is designed to bring us together – all of us – breaking down misconceptions and creating opportunities for Aboriginal people in the often elitist food industry, either as part of the Gather Foods team or as suppliers and partners.
